An evergreen tree with glossy dark green leaves and fragrant white flowers.
Extraction:
Solvent extraction or steam distillation of the freshly picked flowers.
Charactersitics:
Yellow to orange liquid with an intense sweet-floral fragrance.
MIDDLE TO BASE NOTE.
Odour effects:
Relaxing.
Cautions:
Not to be used where concentration is required.

Methyl anthrillate, linalyl acetate, geranyl acetate, neryl acetate – 14%
Jasmone – 1%
Indole – 8%
Phenylacetic acid – 1%
Limonene, Beta-Pinene – 35%
Linalool, alpha-terpineol, geraniol, nerol, nerolidol, farnesol, benzyl alcohol, phenylether alcohol – 40%
Properties and indications:
MIND
Euphoric, said to relieve anxiety and stress. Soothing in highly emotional states, hysteria and shock.
BODY
A good remedy for insomnia. Helpful with neuralgia, headaches and vertigo. Could ease bouts of yawning. Antispasmodic action promotes a calming effect on the intestines and can be good for colitis and diarrhoea. Soothes palpitations of the heart and cleanses blood, improving circulation.
SKIN
Improves skin elasticity. Benefits dry skins. Helpful with thread veins, scarring, and stretch marks.
Other uses:
Used to flavour pharmaceuticals. Used greatly in fine perfumery, especially oriental and floral blends.
