FURTHER INFORMATION:  The Black seeds are best taken crushed with honey or in yogurt and mixed well; they can be crushed and added to cooking or crushed for a refreshing cup of tea (1/4 – 1/2 teaspoon of seeds crushed and steeped).  They can also be chewed and swallowed, in small quantities.
Black cumin seeds (are sold as kalonji in Indian and Pakistani markets, and as siyah danch in Middle Eastern markets. They are used in Bengal vegetable and fish dishes. Try sauteing fresh spinach with ginger, hot chili, and a teaspoon of black cumin seeds. Sprinkle it on foods before baking or broiling.  Add a spoonful to lentils while they are cooking.
